  • Olive oil
  • Chicken broth or water

Seasonings for Maximum Flavor

  • Garlic powder
  • Paprika
  • Onion powder
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Dried herbs like oregano or thyme

Instructions
 

Season the Chicken

  • Pat the chicken legs dry with a paper towel to help the seasoning adhere.
  • In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Drizzle the drumsticks with olive oil and rub the seasoning evenly over each piece.

Prep the Instant Pot

  • Add chicken broth or water to the bottom of the Instant Pot to create steam.
  • Place a trivet or steamer basket inside to keep the chicken elevated for even cooking.

Pressure Cook

  • Arrange the seasoned chicken legs on the trivet in a single layer.
  • Secure the lid, set the valve to Sealing, and select Pressure Cook (Manual) mode.
  • Cook on high pressure for 10-12 minutes, depending on the size of the drumsticks.
  • Let the pressure naturally release for 5 minutes, then manually release any remaining steam.

Crisp the Skin (Optional but Recommended)

  • Transfer the cooked chicken to a baking sheet and broil for 3-5 minutes for a crispy finish.
  • Alternatively, use an air fryer at 400°F for 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy.
