  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 20 oz package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 15 oz jar Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley optional

Instructions
 

Step 1: Layer the Chicken

  • Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • Season the chicken with a generous sprinkle of Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the minced garlic to infuse the dish with that delicious aroma.

Step 2: Pour in the Creamy Base

  • Pour the Alfredo sauce, heavy cream, and chicken broth over the chicken. This combination creates a smooth, rich sauce that will coat the chicken and tortellini perfectly.
  • Stir everything gently to ensure the chicken is covered with the sauce.

Step 3: Slow Cook the Chicken

  • Set your slow cooker to low and let it cook for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
  • The chicken will become wonderfully tender and easy to shred once done.

Step 4: Shred the Chicken

  • After cooking, take the chicken out of the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  • Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and mix it back into the creamy sauce.

  • Stir in the refrigerated cheese tortellini into the sauce. Cover the slow cooker again.
